Primarily, Canada welcomes immigrants under three classes: the economic class, family class, and refugee and humanitarian class.
To that end, Canada's Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) releases details on the Government of Canada's Immigration Levels Plan for 2022-2024, explaining the number of permanent residents Canada aims to welcome each year in the plan.
Summary of the Immigration Levels Plan 2022-2024:
Canada has increased its immigration level plans for 2022-2024 aiming to welcome 431,645 new Permanent Residents in 2022, 447,055 in 2023 and 451,000 in 2024.
